It’s an important part of the investigation work for the proposed Cross Harbour Pipeline, which aims to provide Wellington with an alternative water supply.
Some of the work needs to be done at night and the crew are focused on minimising the level of noise. The barge has also had acoustic curtains fitted to reduce noise levels (not pictured), which have been tested and fit within the District Plan limits. We’ll continue to monitor noise levels.
We apologise for any inconvenience while we are doing these important investigations.

Upon seeing a recent post re old cameras on our Noticeboard ... I recalled the small collection of old cameras I have taking up space.
Anyone know of a camera buff or collector who would appreciate these relics?

Did you know that the hall at St Hilda's, Cruickshank Road has one of the best surfaces I've found in my 10 years as a Tai Chi Instructor? It's padded, and so gives great support to the joints while we practice the gentle, controlled movement and breathing that makes Tai Chi so enjoyable. Whether you work 9-5 or are retired, our class has something for your strength, balance, coordination and mindfulness needs. Beginners or experienced, you are welcome to join us every Tuesday evening, from 7pm - 8pm at St Hilda's, Cruickshank Road. There is plenty of parking too! Hope you see you there
