The move comes after much public debate on the appropriateness of firearms being brought into schools, including when soldiers taught children as young as nine how to assemble and shoot assault rifles at a leadership exercise in Palmerston North last year. Dave Greenberg will be guest speaker at Tawa Rotary’s Business Breakfast at The Borough, Wednesday 22 August, 7:00am to 8:30am.
A few days before his 14th birthday Dave helped save the life of a stranger on a New York street. This event helped shape his life. He became a volunteer firefighter and ambulance officer, but it was his IT work that brought him to New Zealand for a one year contract. He never left and spent the next 25 years as a crew member on the Wellington-based Westpac Rescue Helicopter.
All members of the wider business community are invited to share a cooked buffet breakfast and hear Dave share life and business lessons learned from his time in the emergency services.

Families welcome! We have an MC to keep it light and interesting – even if you don't usually attend classical music concerts, you'll enjoy the infectious enthusiasm of these talented kids!

The music ranges from Vivaldi's "Summer" through a Shostakovich string quartet to lighter music, including Beatles songs.
