As residents of William Sanders Village, they frequently clock up 12 kilometres in a day, enjoying the charm of their local neighbourhood. In the near future, a controversial government bill bars people with terminal illnesses from receiving treatment. Pianist Irina, a Ukrainian refugee, is cared for at home by her son with a dubious mix of natural and illegal remedies. When Irina’s feisty daughter returns from the war and a famous former pupil appears on their doorstep, hope and delusion blur together making us question the morality of fighting for your life and your loved ones.
On at Circa Theatre, 25 January - 23 February 2025.

Kāpiti has been the warmest place in central New Zealand and one of the few that can claim January to have been a summer month to date. However, Paraparaumu has averaged only 20.5ºC and Waikanae 20.2 (more like November). The longtime average is 23.1ºC.
After a little light rain over the first few days of the month there’s been no rain at all, so rainfall is well below average, and over the last week with sun virtually all day, every day, sunshine is now average for the month.
