ON TOMORROW - Movies in the Park
Tomorrow is the day for Movies in the Park! Come celebrate the start of Parks Week with us at Waikanae Park and enjoy a fun whānau night out!
Our teams have been keeping an eye on the weather and are hopeful any showers will hold off. Come prepared with a rain jacket, snuggly blanket and snack money to support our local sports teams' fundraising on the night. Our Waka Kori play trailer will be available for the tamariki to have fun from 4pm and between the movies.

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝
In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”
We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?
Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.

Poll: Would you participate in local initiatives aimed at stopping plastic from reaching our oceans?
Volunteers will be scouring the foreshore, riverbanks, and islands for rubbish on Saturday the 13th as part of the Clean Up the Hutt event.
This initiative helps stop plastic from reaching our oceans and makes our waterways cleaner and safer for everyone.
We want to know: Should this be rolled out across all coastal cities in Aotearoa? And more importantly… would you get involved? 💚
