Get prepared for an emergency

The Team from Kāpiti Coast District Council

Flooding across the motu (country) in recent months has highlighted just how important it is to be prepared. While councils, emergency services and Civil Defence have strong plans in place to respond, in a major emergency these services will be stretched so we need everyone in our community to play their part.

Take some time this long weekend to make or check over your household emergency plans. Our friends at Wellington Region Emergency Management Office have some great tips and resources to help you get prepared. Visit www.wremo.nz... and www.kapiticoast.govt.nz... for more information.
