We’re installing a larger stormwater pipe in stages from Iver Trask Place to part way along Amohia Street. This is part of our plan to reduce flooding in the Amohia and Ruahine street catchment areas, and help prepare our district to live with more water due to climate change.
Beginning in Iver Trask Place, work will progress from the Wharemaukū Stream outfall to Rimu Road, then along towards Kāpiti Road and Amohia Street.
Traffic management will be in place around the work area. For more information, visit www.kapiticoast.govt.nz...

Remember, driving on the beach is restricted to a few areas and for things like launching and retrieving boats. It's not a motorway out there, so please stick to the speed restrictions, and leave the motorbike at home!
It's important we all stick to the rules so everyone stays safe. Council staff have been out and about this summer to chat with beachgoers and, where necessary, issue tickets to drivers parked where they shouldn't be.
There's loads of information about our beaches and how to access them without a car – including the nearly 100 pedestrian access ways along the coast – on our website.
