Flood map updates

The Team from Kāpiti Coast District Council

Kāpiti is naturally prone to flooding, with low-lying land and peaty soils. At the same time, our district is growing with more homes, businesses, and infrastructure being built.

To understand where flooding might happen and how to plan for it, we’re updating our flood maps, and we want your input. Your local knowledge matters. Let us know if the draft maps reflect what you’ve seen around your home and neighbourhood.

You can also join our webinar on Wednesday 7 May at 5.30pm to learn more about the updated maps, what they show, and how you can have your say.

To learn more, check your property, and register for the webinar, visit haveyoursay.kapiticoast.govt.nz/FloodMaps

ACCOMMODATION REQUIRED

Gary from Waikanae

Our grandson (20) recently moved to Kapiti from Taranaki and is looking for accommodation. Anything considered.
He describes himself as clean and tidy, friendly but a bit reserved and quiet.
I would add trustworthy and family orientated.

Custom made sheds

Garth from Waikanae Handyman

A customer requested a garden shed tall enough to store bicycles vertically, strong and large enough for storage and a ride on mower and an attached woodshed. This is what we built.
Custom made, solid and competitively priced against off the shelf varieties.
