Collectors are still out picking up your rubbish.

The Team from Kāpiti Coast District Council

Collectors are still out picking up your rubbish. Recycling wheelie bins will be emptied but sent to landfill, as the regional sorting plant in Petone is closed at Level 4; glass bins will not be collected.

We recommend you hold on to your recycling and greenwaste if you can until things are a bit more normal.

You have a couple of options:

♻️ wash your recycling well, and store for recycling once the transfer stations reopen
🍃 stockpile your greenwaste till your collection restarts, or the transfer stations reopen
🍏 start your own home composting.

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.

This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.

Do you think this ban is reasonable?
