Thinking about standing in this year’s local elections?
Thinking about standing in this year’s local elections? Join us for a kōrero with our Council team tomorrow, Saturday 19 July, at the Council Chambers (175 Rimu Road, Paraparaumu). We’re holding two sessions, one at 10am and another at 2pm.
If you're even slightly curious about what it’s like to stand for Council, whether you’ve been thinking about it for a while, or it’s just a little spark at the back of your mind, this is your chance to ask questions, meet the team, and get a real feel for what it’s all about and how to get yourself nominated.
You don’t need to be a politician. You just need to care about your community. ✨ Pop down and say hi. You never know, this might be the start of something pretty awesome.
Some Choice News!

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
