THIS SATURDAY - Waitangi Commemorations at Whakarongotai Marae

The Team from Kāpiti Coast District Council

Whakarongotai Marae Trustees and Ātiawa ki Whakarongotai are busy making preparations for Waitangi Commemorations at Whakarongotai Marae, Waikanae, 3 February from 10am–5pm.

This community event is open to all, beginning with a mihi whakatau from the marae gates at 9.30am, followed by kapa haka, entertainment, historical storytelling, and activities for tamariki. High tea will be served between 11.30am and 3pm, and a hāngī lifted at 3pm – both will be available for a koha.

So, bring your foldout chairs, rain jackets and refillable water bottles and reflect on our shared history, as we celebrate the rich and diverse fabric of our district. ❤️🖤🤍
