Hemp Heart Energy Bites.
Hemp Seeds are a great source of omega 3 & 6, contain a high quality complete protein, and are a good source of fibre. They also contain high concentrations of vitamins and minerals and many other micro-nutrients. They are a power-packed energy food. This recipe is quick and easy to make and very tasty.
Hemp Heart Energy Bites:
1 cup oats (quick or rolled)
1/2 cup hemp hearts
6 dates, chopped
3 tblsps maple syrup
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp cinnamon (optional)
Pinch salt
1 tblsp water, more if required.
Place all ingredients except water in a food processor. Blend until combined. Add 1 tablespoon of water and process. If the mixture doesn't clump up, add extra small amounts of water until it does. If it becomes too sticky then add more oats. Form into bite-sized balls. Roll the balls in either hemp seeds, coconut, cinnamon, cacao powder or ground almond until coated. They will keep a couple of weeks in the fridge, or store in the freezer for use as required. You do not need to be exact with quantities in this recipe.
Enjoy.

Illegal dumping
This is awful how people just disregard bylaws. dump their rubbish in parks and waterways to try get away with having to pay dumping costs at the rubbish dumps and transfer stations. This also can cause flooding again due to blocking the grate of the culvert in Princes street. No thought for neighbours or damage that can be caused by their actions.
