Within two weeks, we have delivered over 5,000 face shields, but we are still hearing the calls of many. As the government and DHB’s publicly assure us that all necessary equipment is readily accessible, the demand for our face shields continues to grow daily, with requests for 30,000 shields.
If you would like to help us help them, sign up to volunteer at shieldsup.org.nz, or make a donation to ensure we can continue to produce and distribute our shields to protect our frontline heroes.
ShieldsUp, offering protection to Kiwi’s against COVID-19.

Looked Thursday while I had a couple of days reserve but the lines went round the block .Went down this morning ( watch broken so no idea of time , 8.45 ish would be a guess looking at the time now ) and they are lines up right around the carpark at Countdown. Its been closed for one day ,I just cannot believe you have all run out of essential supplies in one day . I have no choice really , I will have to go and stand in line , but a bit later now it would seem . It just beggars belief that so many people in this town are either uncaring about others , supremely selfish , or just plain stupid that they believe ESSENTIAL shopping means going every day or two , my faith in humanity wanes

I am trying to trace the origins of a poem I first heard in England in the 1950s. The first verse goes like this:-
"Life can't be all plain sailing,
The sky can't always be blue,
The whole world can't be upholstered
To keep the knocks from you."
Can anyone remember reading… View moreI am trying to trace the origins of a poem I first heard in England in the 1950s. The first verse goes like this:-

Easter long weekend is looking a little bit different for us all this year. Though you may not be able to spend the holiday with others as you’d planned, be sure to check in on your loved ones and send them some aroha from afar. 💛 #gettingthroughtogether
