Hi Neighbourly neighbours...Stihl Shop Kapiti are running a competition to see where all the good buggers are during this lockdown.
Fortunately they picked my Alli to be a recipient for a prize...well done babe!
Thank you Stihl Shop Kapiti...🥰

I started a group called self-isolation activities New Zealand on Facebook, in effort to help out people during these difficult times. There are now over 600 members keeping themselves and their families busy.
The page is evolving all the time with not only activities you can do, but also music to listen to, posts you can laugh at, and quizzes you can complete, but best of all it is a page for ages.
You are also welcome to post any ideas you have and to keep our communities smiling and busy!!
The page has many different ideas posted over the course of a day, so please take time to navigate through the posts, or click on the topics at the top of the page to search for ideas of interest.
I did try and post on Neighbourly after I last posted about this group, however, due to many ideas being on video, I was unable to do so.
All the best, take care and stay well, thank Kirsty

Thanks for all you support at the scene and for the many messages you left in our letter box and phone calls. I ended up in Lower Hutt ICU for a 2night stay where a brilliant Surgeon and his team put me back together after shattering my jaw. As you can see the helmet I was wearing split in half as did my bike.I was very very lucky and am very grateful to all of the health service people who took such great care of me. So if you have a family member who is out biking to get some exercise during the lockdown, make sure they wear their helmet as well. Regards Ross Vessey

It was great to see these words on a neighbour's fence, along side the community vegies. Thank you neighbours. Take care.

Using self-paced learning, Toastmasters undertake an educational programme that promotes these competencies, and also teaches effective listening, thinking on your feet, leadership skills, and giving and receiving constructive feedback.
Amid lockdown, many of New Zealand’s Toastmasters clubs have transitioned to holding their regular meetings online to allow the continuation of personal and professional development while providing social interaction.
