Our community facility Thompson House in Kent Street , Levin are looking to replace the electric range in the kitchen. If you have one that you could donate in very good condition that would be appreciated.
I would dearly love to give my two granddaughters an experience of feeding a head reared lamb or calf this spring. As they have never really visited a farm I wondered if anyone in district is hand rearing a lamb or calf and would be happy for us to visit to experience this.

On Tuesday night, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern announced there were four new Covid-19 cases in the community.
Auckland moved into level 3 at midday on Wednesday, and the rest of the country into level 2.
Kiwis outside of Auckland can still continue to go to work and school, with physical distancing, and are advised to wear masks in public.
Businesses can open to the public if they are following public health guidance, which includes physical distancing and record keeping.
In terms of gatherings, New Zealanders must not travel to events with more than 100 people. This includes weddings, birthdays, funerals and tangihanga.
The Government advises all Kiwis to practise good hygiene and stay home if sick.

It seems strange that Horowhenua District Council intend spending this money whilst at the same time nitrite spilloffs will continue to pour into the lake, from agricultural and dairying practices in the surrounding area. Alongside that in the Adoption of the Annual Plan 2020, HDC plan that 'Council officers continue working towards acquiring a discharge consent for stormwater from Councils stormwater network to Lake Horowhenua from Horizons Regional Council'. Does anyone besides me find that counterproductive to spend so much money on a Lake cleanup while continuing to pour heavy metals and other contaminants into the Lake?

Kāpiti Coast Airport faces possible closure with its owners “reviewing all options”, and word leaking out that it could shut by next month.
