A Kāpiti Coast District Council report estimates the … View moreKāpiti Coast Airport's future hangs in the balance. As its owners mull over its economic viability in a Covid-19 impacted air travel environment, locals argue it should be kept for the financial benefits and convenience it brings.
A Kāpiti Coast District Council report estimates the airport has an annual economic benefit of $4.3m based largely on travel and time savings for residents. The 40 hectare sight could go a long way to helping relieve the Wellington region's housing shortage.
