Who is Let’s Compost and why these workshops?
Let’s Compost aims to inspire and support people to reduce food and garden waste going to landfill, turn it into a valuable resource for the garden and return the nutrients to the soil. We offer home composting workshops to the community. These are often based around existing networks, to help foster continuing support afterwards.
With the support of New Plymouth District Council’s Waste Levy Fund the workshops are able to be offered free of charge, with a $40 discount per household available on the cost of ONE compost system after attending a workshop.
How much do compost systems cost once I participate in a composting workshop?
- Compost bin discounted price: $35
- Bokashi discounted price 15L set: $76; 10L set $71
- Worm Farm discounted price: $112
