When are these companies going to learn to include EV ownership and solar generation in their input fields. Both of these factors make a huge difference to which provider customers are best suited to.
In our case we are a 2 EV household with sufficient PV capacity to charge them both, run our rural home (pumped water & 2x 700L freezers) and other household consumption and still we are in credit for the 4th month in a row with Octopus Energy as our provider. The results displayed by the likes of NZ Compare bear no resemblance to our use model.
