We had previously announced that the Lunchtime Concert this Wednesday 13th July would feature both a flutist and a harpist from Auckland. Unfortunately the Harpist is now isolating with Covid so can't make the concert.
But we are very fortunate that Rob Green has agreed to jump in at the last minute and perform some well known piano pieces including the ever popular Beethoven Moonlight Sonata and a few Chopin Nocturnes and maybe a few other surprises! Rob is well known around Taranaki as a member of originally the Irish Group - the Cobblers, then the Orange and Green and lately Shaskeen Reel. Perhaps he might also be persuaded to give us a tune on his penny whistle?
This will be at the usual time of 12.15pm

Three Waters and re-fund of money charged that is no longer needed.

Allowing for inflation that would appear to be at least 10% of our current rates. Wishful thinking perhaps but if we are going to get stung by the government for up-grades why should we have to pay twice. This is not to mention the other 80% rise that the Council has foreshadowed.

On Three Waters itself did you hear the Scottish gentleman talking about the plans. Seems really scary to me and an absolute recipe for disaster. Whenever I hear that word corporate or others similar I am reminded of the fiasco we call our power infrastructure and they are still crying poverty even after pocketing billions of $s over the ;last 25 years.
