We will be completing this repair tonight between 11pm-3am, this will involve water being shut off. Water is expected to be back on at 3am, however if there are any delays we will notify Wellington City Council who will share this information on their social channels.
Noise will be minimal, and affected businesses/residents have been informed.
Full traffic flow will be maintained through the intersection, with existing traffic management in place due to the closed shoulder on the Northern Western corner of the Dixon/Willis Street intersection.

Masterton Trust Lands Trust (MTLT) will contribute $600,000 over the next three years to fund a
significant education project, which will be developed by the local education community.
The funding was announced at an information session this week for principals, boards of trustees and others involved locally in education at early childhood, primary, secondary and tertiary levels, and is
part of a new funding allocation strategy that will start in April next year.
MTLT Education Committee Chair Christine Brewster said the new approach focuses higher levels of funding on a single area where the Trust and education community considers it can have the greatest impact in addressing a specific problem or need.
“This approach of making an ‘impact investment’ will allow us to work with the local education sector to make a real difference towards the learning achievements and wellbeing of young people in our community.”
Mrs Brewster said the project will be led by the Whakaoriori Kāhui Ako collective of local education providers.
“Developing this new approach has coincided with the formation of the Whakaoriori Kāhui Ako, which is well placed to be our collaborative partner in this initiative.”
Fernridge School Principal and Whakaoriori Kāhui Ako Lead Principal Janine Devenport said she was “blown away” by the level of investment MTLT are providing for local education through this funding.
“This is amazing support for the education of the young people of our community. The possibilities and potential impact this funding will provide are massive and will support us in our key role of creating great kids. I’m really impressed in the way that Masterton Trust Lands Trust continues to provide opportunities for our tamariki to shine.”

Work is progressing well in Hargreaves Street, as we pour the concrete floor and walls in the chamber, and finish off the pipe installation. We are on track to open up the bottom of Hargreaves Street by the end of the month in preparation for the Wallace Street road closure happening from December 8.

The initiative, which was only held in Masterton last year, was so successful it is being rolled out Wairarapa wide this month.
The idea of this campaign is to pack the Tranzit Coachlines bus full of donated Christmas gifts and treats (including non-perishable food items) which will be donated to the Wairarapa food banks, who in turn distribute them to individuals and families in need this Christmas.
Beginning on November 27th with a special launch at Property Brokers in Masterton, Pack the Bus will run for three weeks with several community “park-up” events being held in Masterton, Carterton, Greytown, Featherston and Martinborough. In addition, separate “park-ups” will be held at local schools and the bus will make a guest appearance at the Masterton, Greytown and Martinborough Christmas Parades

The plants are very easy to access and just need digging up. I'm not sure how they would transplant but with a good dollop of water regularly they should come away if cut back to one third or half of their height.
I do know name the name of them but it slips my memory at the moment. They are a well known hedging plant.
I've photographed most of the row and three individual plants. They are about a metre high at the moment.

Crews are continuing works to investigate and repair the leak which is expected to continue throughout this week, with the potential to continue into next week depending on investigations.
We will share an update on the expected time frame around the works on Friday 29 November.
