I’m a 14 year old based in Alicetown, Lower Hutt. I am looking for any casual jobs.
I have done the paper run service in the Alicetown area for 1 year.
I can help people with setting up new devices or basic tech help needed for example : setting up a phone, setting up a laptop, setting up a TV, setting up PlayStation or Xbox, setup for wifi in the house, connect Smart TV to Wifi, connect laptop, mobile phone, games console etc to Wifi, Stream Laptop to TV Wireless, stream phone to TV Wireless, setting up all HDMI connections etc.
Also I can mow lawns, if lawnmower provided.
I can do basic DIY for example : build shelves, racks etc if right tools and manual provided.
I am always keen to try out something new so please let me know if you have any other jobs that I can do and then we can work it out from there.

To participate you must be 65 years old or older and have at least one of the following conditions; Asthma, COPD, Type II Diabetes, Congestive Heart Failure, or Current smoker.
Study participation is for 5 or 7 weeks and involves either 5 or 6 visits to P3 Research in Wellington.

If you've noticed a missed call from a number you don't recognise (particularly international numbers), it is important that you don't call this number back and consider reporting this as a potential scam.
Phone companies are advising customers to reject these calls and if you have friends or family living overseas, it is recommended to have their numbers added as contacts in your mobile phone, so you can identify when they are calling you.

This is because all waters are plumbosolvent, which means they can dissolve very small amounts of metals if they come into contact with them.
Upper Hutt, Lower Hutt, Porirua and Wellington drinking water is described as ‘soft’ water, because there is less calcium and magnesium content. Soft water is slightly more acidic than hard water, and as a result it dissolves metals more easily/quickly.
In New Zealand, the plumbing materials/fittings (i.e. your taps) which come in to contact with water are usually the source of heavy metals, such as lead, nickel, cadmium, copper and antimony.
When you turn a fitting off there may be a small amount of water left sitting in it. Whilst our treatment processes adjust the pH to reduce the water’s aggressiveness on pipework, there is the potential that water sitting in a plumbing fitting, if unused for several hours, may accumulate minute traces of metals.
Although the health risk is small, the Ministry of Health drinking water standards recommend that you flush a mugful of water from your drinking-water tap each morning before use. This should remove any water that was left in your fittings, and metals that may have dissolved from the plumbing fittings.
All households are advised to take this precaution, whether they are on public or private water supply.
