How dangerous is Ridge Rd, Pokeno?

We have spoken to a couple on Ridge Rd in Pokeno who say the 100km speed limit is ridiculous, due to the winding roads and sharp S bend.
They want the speed limit lowered, speed advisory signs, and an S bend warning sign erected to help lower the number of incidents on their road.
