Proud owners of water meters - yeah - right
When the weather clears go outside and carefully check your meter and around your meter for leaks. when the council lovingly and carefully installed my meter the plastic fitting was either stressed or faulty, this resulted in a huge amount of water soaking down into the soil around it as the soil in my area is sandy, it took a while to show on the surface and it did not immediately start after installation. The part that sucks is the leak was on my side of the meter so it will be useless going to the council so I am told

The Government has refused to commit to saving the Chateau Tongariro Hotel, leaving demolition, decommissioning or private restoration all on the table despite strong community pressure to preserve the iconic building.
In a formal response to a petition led by Ruapehu District Mayor Weston Kirton, ministers acknowledged the Chateau’s cultural and economic significance but said no changes to current policy or legislation were warranted Chateau Petition response.
