Rebuilding trust top agenda for new Waikato police commander
Building trust and confidence is front of mind for Waikato’s new top cop, after a 2025 in which the force was marked by scandals and scrutiny.
Superintendent Scott Gemmell started last week as the new Waikato district commander and says rebuilding public trust will be his number one priority.
