Poll: Would you like to live near the inland port?
Buyers have been snapping up land for new homes near Hamilton’s Ruakura Superhub, with just over half the available sections sold.
This is stage one of a 74-section subdivision near the iwi-led inland port but the developer, Tainui Group Holdings (TGH), said there would be room for up to 4500 family homes in the coming 20 to 30 years. Land will be released for sale in stages.

The butcher with a taste for adventure

‘Devastated and disappointed’ - former students hope it wasn’t one of their own
Former students of Taupō Nui-a-Tia College say they’re “devastated” and “disappointed” after the alleged arson at their school which has left an entire block of classrooms, and a health centre destroyed by fire.
Emergency services were called to the school about 2.15pm on Sunday, when plumes of black smoke could be seen across town.
