Looking for Unused Tablets

Ganga from Ngaruawahia

Dear neighbours, I work for an organisation that does free training for businesses to empower frontline staff. I conduct some online activities (e.g. LNAAT and DISC) as part of the training, and this often means lugging 10-15 laptops from the office to the business workplace to get this done. As we rely on external funding it's a bit tough to requisition new equipment, so I am hoping to work around this by getting some long-forgotten tablets from you that might be lying around at home. As long as it can work, I will be able to use it since it's basically to connect to the internet and open the web browser. Also, I am happy to come into your workplace to conduct some training for you and your colleagues in return for your kindness.

Poll: Are you a Te Huia fan?

Libby Totton Reporter from Waikato Times

All three Hamilton MPs appear to be united behind the retention of the Te Huia passenger rail service between Hamilton and Auckland, as well as potentially expanding it to Tauranga.

But whether Hamilton East’s Ryan Hamilton, Hamilton West’s Tama Potaka and soon-to-be Labour list MP Georgie Dansey have the combined power to shunt transport minister Chris Bishop and Prime Minister Christopher Luxon onto their line of thinking remains to be seen.

Poll: What do you think should happen with Chateau Tongariro?

Libby Totton Reporter from Waikato Times

The Government has refused to commit to saving the Chateau Tongariro Hotel, leaving demolition, decommissioning or private restoration all on the table despite strong community pressure to preserve the iconic building.

In a formal response to a petition led by Ruapehu District Mayor Weston Kirton, ministers acknowledged the Chateau’s cultural and economic significance but said no changes to current policy or legislation were warranted Chateau Petition response.
