Which Hamilton suburb topped a recent Covid vaccination list?

Te Rapa South had the greatest percentage of fully vaccinated people, according to statistics released at the end of last week.

In that area, 66.8 per cent of eligible people had received two doses of the Pfizer vaccine.

And when it comes to fully vaccinated Māori, Flagstaff South was the top performer, with 53.3 per cent.

Derelict Tokanui Hospital site in line for a clean-up

Derelict Tokanui Hospital buildings will be demolished and contaminated land cleaned up so the site can be offered back to iwi.

The former psychiatric hospital, southeast of Te Awamutu, sits on land taken from Ngāti Maniapoto under the Public Works Act in 1910.
