Planting boxes - Long Weekend Special

Janine from Te Kowhai

These are well made wooden planter boxes. Perfect for strawberries, veges and flowers as you can move the boxes to gain maximum sun or shelter. Happy to deliver for free in Hamilton at an agreed time.

These would be a nice practical gift for Christmas. A great project for the kids too! Just line with weed matting, add some soil, plant the New World Little Gardens seedlings, favourite veges or herbs and watch them grow.

We only have a few left so get one quick! The money goes to my daughter's school trip fundraising. These were kindly made and donated by Poppa ☺

Please message or txt if you would like to buy 021546473.

While things are looking calmer in the days ahead, there are still plenty of slips and flooded roads across the district — so if you’re heading out, take it easy and stay alert.

We want to know: How did you and your whānau get on over the weekend?

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
