Pātaka Kai
Kia Ora all!
Have you heard of the Pātaka Kai that have been popping up in Hamilton over the last month? I am kaitiaki of the one in Tramway Rd and would like to invite as many people as possible to participate in the giving and sharing :)
Perhaps your business or work would like to participate, perhaps you have a contact for excess kai or perhaps you have excess fruit on your tree? - perhaps you would like to start a pātaka pantry in your neighbourhood?
I am happy for you to contact me if you have any amazing ideas on how we can keep this kaupapa/concept thriving! Communities doing community well!
What an awesome kaupapa we are on ‘Share what you can & take what you need’
3 weeks in to the kaupapa in Hamilton and we have some well established Pātaka, amazingly generous communities - and some well fed whanau!
‘Thank you & You’re welcome’ - to and from
all!!
If you are wanting of thinking about a koha - today and every day is a good day! Pick a pātaka kai (or more) and simply put kai in.
- a focus for the day could be fresh fruit and vege excess from the tree or garden you may have, or cans to withstand this weeks weather 😳😳
‘It is a take what you need, give what you can (when/if you can) kaupapa 🙂 no expectations, no judgment. Swapping is fine. If you don’t need to take, ka pai, if you do, ka pai! If you want to give, share, swap - also ka pai 💜The kaupapa is community doing community well, looking after our own by sharing excess kai.
Just because we don’t need today doesn’t mean we may not need next week 🙂

🌉🛶 Early Birds Might Crack This One First… or Not? 🥚🧠
A person is crossing a bridge and sees a boat full of people, yet there isn't a single person on board.
How is this possible?
(Susan from Massey kindly provided this head-scratcher ... thanks, Susan!)

Driving 🚗
Hi everyone 👋
I’m looking for someone who can help me practice driving for 1–2 hours after 5 pm.
I am located in Frankton, Hamilton.
If anyone is available, please message me. I would really appreciate it.
Thank you!
🪱🐦 When are you the most productive? 🌙🦉
The Post has been diving into our daily habits, and research suggests being an early bird or a night owl isn’t just a choice—it’s biology! We all have that specific time when our brains finally "click" into gear.
This raises a big question for the modern workplace. To get the best out of everyone, should employers accommodate our natural body clocks? This idea is at the heart of the four-day work week and flexible scheduling movements.
We want to hear from you:
1. When does your brain "click" into gear?
2. Would a flexible (or shortened) schedule change the way you work?
