Are you up with the recycling changes to come?
If you’ll be chucking plastic into your recycling bin next month, there’s a change you need to be aware of.
From February 1, Hamilton is cutting down on the types of plastic taken for recycling, and will no longer accept “hard to recycle” types 3,4, 6 and 7 - and “bin cops” will be out issuing warnings.
It’s part of Aotearoa’s new standardised kerbside recycling strategy, under which all councils will only be accepting 1, 2, and 5 in kerbside recycling bins.
