Hand-picked, hand-made, hand bottled, hand riddled, and hand disgorged, all right in Greytown. This means Alexia have joined the very small handful of NZ Methode Traditionnelle producers who do it all 100% in house.

To mark the occasion they have a couple of very special guests joining them for their launch this Saturday. Martin Bosley will be slinging the oysters from his oyster saloon, and the team from Vixen Burger will be firing up the grills to turn out some of their famous burgers. ((No bookings required and no dogs allowed)). 🍾🥂

Supported by Dragonfly up and coming local band. Cash bar for beer and wine as well as delicious food including sausage sizzle, ham rolls, cheese platters, berries with ice cream or bring your own picnic.

The Zimmermans have recently toured the North Island and brought the house down at every concert. One of the band's founders, Paddy Burgin, Says: From his early folk days through the periods of electric blues and rock to the more reflective later songs the Zimmermans tackle everything with a full compliment of guitars, drums, bass, keyboards, brass and – of course a harmonica.

The big band is made up of former players from the Mockers, Let’s Planet, the Wooden Box Band, and the Sneaky Feelings. Paddy Burgin said “ Bob Dylan can often be seen as a mysterious chameleon like character but his contribution to recent music history is unequalled by any other single musician.”

“So many of his great songs have been covered by others that people at our shows often find themselves singing along to a chorus they didn’t even know was written by Dylan.” “We dig deep into a few of the more obscure compositions by the master but of course there are some absolute Dylan bangers you could not get away with avoiding.”

While Dylan’s heyday may have been the sixties and seventies the Zimmermans are always surprised at the number of younger people enjoying their gigsA superb evening of barnstorming, live music with The Zimmermans - don't miss out - get your tickets now to avoid the queue on Sunday afternoon/evening.
Tickets from Eventfinda, the Masterton or Martinborough I-SITE Visitor Centres or from the Cobblestones front desk. Cash bar and delicious food for sale.

Look up tonight! Our Wairarapa skies are filled with epic action and stars galore. The Wairarapa has just received official Dark Sky Reserve status meaning our night sky is among the best places in the world to view the never-ending star filled skies above.
We’re pretty lucky to have an official Dark Sky Reserve right on our doorstep and only an hour’s drive from Wellington.
Although we can all spot the Southern Cross and the Pot, there’s much more to see! Experts at local dark sky tours Milky Way Kiwi, Stonehenge Aotearoa and Under The Stars, can guide you through the sky with telescopes to help make sense of what’s up above. Plus, you can still get star action during the day at the Wairarapa Space Science Centre in Carterton, perfect for the whole family.

With Wings Over Wairarapa in February and the Wairarapa Balloon Festival on it's way the sky's the limit!

Mobile Hairdresser

Debbie from Greytown

Are there any local mobile hairdressers that will come to your home or have a private salon that I could go to and will do hair colour and haircuts. Prefer Greytown based but open to options if I have to go to them. Thanks in advance.
