Alice Cresswell, is being interviewed by Brent Gare on Masterton’s MORE FM tomorrow morning at 8.35am.
Al’s now an up and coming live performer with DJ skills and electronic music production experience. This weekend she’ll live on stage at the 121 Music Festival at Tauherenikau Racecourse.
Al started DJing in her bedroom more than 10 years ago and did her first public gig in 2019.
Since then she’s been DJing regularly around New Zealand, including festivals like Rhythm & Vines, Rhythm & Alps, Twisted Frequency, Taniwha's Den (local) and, of course, the 121 Festival.
Hear her live interview with Brent tomorrow and remember, Wairarapa locals enjoy an extra special ticket price for the Festival for Saturday, 11 March. The special local ticket price is $99 (usually $139), and is available at both the Masterton and Martinborough i-SITE Visitor Information Centres.

"This is not the best photo of a variable oystercatcher - it's not even the best photo I took that day, but it is interesting. I noticed he/she was tagged - meet CT7. I snapped him/her in the Hutt Estuary on 12 January and sent a report off to the Banding Office as you do and got back a very interesting report about the bird.
He/she was banded on Bell Island, Waimea Inlet, Tasman on 28/05/2022 in his/her 2nd year. Sex is unknown. CT7 is a busy chap, since banding this bird has been re-sighted at Saxton Field, Stoke, Nelson on 28/06/2022 and 19/07/2022. This bird is part of a research study on the morphometrics, population trends, longevity and movements of variable oystercatchers in the Golden/Tasman Bays region.
So, if you see CT7 don't forget to report him/her to the banding office.

Andrew London's quirky and whimsical songs reflect mainstream culture with gentle irreverence, and playfully lampoon many of society's obsessions and taboos. Themes run the gamut from rugby fans, driving habits, youth culture and weddings to male insecurities, technophobia, household appliances, pretentious socialites, and various other issues of concern to the average middle-aged, middle-class Antipodean baby-boomer. ‘Let’s Talk About Me’, ‘I Hugged My Mate’, ‘Middle Aged Man in Lycra’ - The titles say it all.
Delivery is wrapped in an easy-going and accessible 1940s-era ‘Hot Club Swing’ package, with occasional sallies into folk, blues and jazz; and the spontaneous banter transforms the show into more of an interactive cabaret experience for both performers and audience.
A book of 75 song titles has just been published under the title ‘let’s Talk About Me’, one of london’s most-requested songs.
