Passed away peacefully on 1st June 2023, aged 86 years. Dearly loved Mum of Bill, David and Annette. Loving Nana of Britt, Mason, Gaby, Adam, Dylan, Harry, Ethan, Nathan, and Samuel, and Great-Gran to Jade and Hadlee-Mae. Loved and respected by her late ex-husband and friend, John Ryder Young.

COSGRIFF, Patricia Elizabeth

Patricia passed peacefully on May 24, 2023. Dearly loved wife of Peter for 69 years. Treasured and devoted mother of John, Barbara and David. Adored Nan of her 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff at both Rymans Charles Upham Care Unit and Bupa Parklands Rimu Unit for the extraordinary care they gave Patricia during her time with them. A private family funeral was held on May 31 at St Brigid’s Catholic Church, Loburn.

ROBERTSON, Ola Jean

Passed away peacefully in Auckland, surrounded by loving family, on 31st May 2023. Aged 95 she lived a full and loving life shared with her friends, family and a devotion to God. Dearly loved wife of Tom (deceased) for 73 years. Loved mother and mother-in-law to Gary and Ai, Murray and Shirley, Kerrie, Susan and Ben, and Bruce and Gina. Cherished Nana to her 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, who she was always sharing her rhymes and riddles with and making them smile. We will miss Mum’s kindness and thoughtfulness and her wonderful sense of humour which always had us laughing. Her husband, family and Christian faith were the most important things in her life. She was always caring and praying for others and was truly a moral compass for our family. A service will be held at All Souls Chapel, followed by a burial at Purewa Cemetery on Tuesday 6th June at 11.00am.

Passed away peacefully on May 28, 2023, at Nazareth House, aged 78 years with her loved Alan by her side. Dearly loved wife to Alan, much loved mother and mother-in-law to Charlotte and Stuart Cummings and a treasured “Libby” to her grandchildren Ana, and Anthony.

HAWKINS, Roy Vincent

(Formerly of Tawa). Roy passed away peacefully on Thursday, 25 May 2023, aged 93 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Anne (nee Lissington). Loved father and father-in-law of Barbara & Graeme, Trevor & Maureen, and Graeme & Sally. Loved Pop to his 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. A special thank you to the staff at Winara Care Home, Waikanae, for their wonderful care of Roy. As per Roy’s wishes, a private cremation has taken place. A celebration of Roy’s life will be held at his favourite drinking hole on Friday 9th June at 2.00pm. Family and friends welcome.

Passed away peacefully at Hastings Hospital on 1st June 2023, aged 76 years. Beloved wife of Brien, and mother of Mark, Blair and Leanne. Loved Nan of Alex, Lola, Griffin and Asher; and loved by all her extended family.

It is with much sadness we advise of the passing of Victoria in Cairo. Dearly loved mother of Francesca and Sebastian. Dearly loved daughter of the late Mervyn and Eva Macdonald. Much loved sister and sister-in-law of Pam and John Keast, Ferg and Ali Macdonald, and Don and Joanne Macdonald. Loved Auntie and Great-Aunt of her nieces and nephews. Passed peacefully on 2nd June 2023, at St Johns Wood Rest Home, Taupo, aged 97 years. Wife of Eddie (deceased) and loved partner of Ken Hagley (deceased). Much loved mother of Amy Goss, Heather Purvis, Terry Burling (deceased), Russell Burling, Sharon Morrah, Tony Burling, Lorraine Hagley, and all their partners. So dearly loved by all her family and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A service to celebrate Grace’s life will be held at The Founders Chapel of Remembrance, 117 Rickit Street, Taupo, on Thursday, 8th June 2023, at 1.30pm, to be followed by private cremation. At home on 1 June 2023. Beloved husband of Keitha. Father of Lacey and Kristopher and grandfather of Samual & Claudia, Sybastion and Mercedes-Jessica. Son of the late Malcolm & Lois. Loyal friend of Chop and Boston. Special thanks to the Wilson Family for all their help over the last few months. Marty will be at home until the day of his service for anyone who may wish to visit. A service for Marty will be held at Silverstream Retreat, 3 Reynolds Bach Drive, Stokes Valley, on Tuesday 6 June at 1pm, followed by private cremation.
