On February 28, 2023, passed away peacefully at her home, in her 102nd year. Dearly loved wife of the late Doug, much loved Ma of Paul and Sandy (Auckland), Greg and Tresna, and the late Christopher. Loved and treasured Grand Ma of Nicholas, Rohan and Abby, and Brianna and Josh, great-great-Ma of Cove, Nalu and a new wee one coming. Peacefully at Te Omanga Hospice on 3 March 2023. Loved mother of Chris, Sharon, Liz and Tammy, and grandchildren. The family welcome you to visit Joan at 68 Penrose Street, Lower Hutt, until Sunday evening. A private service will be held on Monday 6 March.

a short illness. Much loved wife, soulmate and best friend of Will (Little Mountain, Queensland - formerly Melbourne). Dearly loved and cherished elder daughter of Carolyn and Allan Dickey (Omokoroa, formerly Hamilton). Loved sister of Lance and Manuela (Hamilton). Much loved friend and best sister ever of Bronwyn and Paul (London). Also treasured by her Douglas and Dickey families in New Zealand and her Glenn family in Australia. Janine left us far too soon; she lived life to the full and had achieved so much during her nearly 54 years. Highly respected as a teacher, professional fire fighter, training and station officer with the Melbourne Fire Brigade and as a Kinesiologist. A sportswoman, dancer, world traveller, artist, homemaker, lover of nature, her garden and her boxer dogs.
Janine was a beautiful, reliable, humble and a selfless person who saved and touched many lives and will be greatly missed.

24.3.1948. Aged 74 years. On Thursday 2nd March 2023 we lost our Hero at Waikato Hospital. Beloved husband of the late Barbara. Devoted father and father in-law of Nicola, Tisha and James. Son of the late Keith and Joyce Gerrand. Incredible brother to Ila, Faith, Joy, Alan, Min, and Bruce. Much loved grandfather to Renee, Shaun, Jack, and Ara, and great-grandfather to Poppy and Presley. Des will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.
