HOLYOAKE, Noel Victor

Passed away peacefully on Saturday 4 March 2023 at home, as he wanted, with his family beside him, aged 91 years. Beloved husband to Betty for 67 years, dearly loved father and father-in-law of Kay and Craig, Grant and Rachael, Scott and Tania. Adored Grandad of Nicola and Brad, Stephanie and David, Laura and Ant, Alex and Ali, Victoria, Celine, and Blake. Great-Grandad to Georgia, Samuel, Camilla, and Matea. A commemoration of Noel’s life will be held at the All Saints Chapel, Purewa Cemetery, Meadowbank, Auckland, on Friday, March 10 at 12.00 noon. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked donations be made to Noel’s pet charity Trees for Survival, details to follow.

JENKINS, Barbara Gladys

Peacefully at Ascot Care Home on Monday, March 6, 2023. Dearly beloved wife of Claude (who left us on November 5, 1990), much loved Mum of Brian and Marie Jenkins (Tauranga); Kevin; and Bronwyn and Bevan Kidd. A treasured and devoted Nana of Casey, Shannon and Siabon, Whitney, Jorgia and Caleb Jenkins; Aroha Jenkins; Miha, Janae, Marshel and Davaan Kidd. And a very special Great-Nannie to Bayden and Sophie. Loved daughter of the late Alexander and Mabel Muir and sister, sister-in-law and aunty of *Bob, *Sandy, *Ian, *Dave, *Betty, *Dorothy, *Margaret, Prudence, Kathleen and their families. Everyone is welcome to join us as we farewell Barbara at J Fraser and Sons Chapel, cnr. Esk and Doon Streets, at 1.30pm, on Friday, March 10. We will then be laying her to rest with Claude at the Eastern Cemetery and we invite everyone back to her home at 145 Inglewood Road after the interment. Passed away peacefully at the Horowhenua Masonic Village, Levin on Saturday, March 4, 2023. Dearly loved husband, brother, father and grandfather. A Service for Ron will be held at the MacDonnell Chapel, Masonic Village, 685 Queen Street East, Levin on Friday 10th March at 2.00pm, followed by private cremation at The Avenue Crematorium, Levin.

Peacefully at Village at the Park on 5th March 2023, aged 75, surrounded by loving family. Adored wife of Ian for 50 years. Treasured mum to Matthew, and Antonia and partner Simon; loved stepmother to Martin, Paul and Nicola. Much loved sister of Deirdre, and most excellent aunty to Richard and Tansy, and all the Stewart Clan cousins. Proud grandmother to cherished grandson Teddy, and dear nana to Monique, Jasmine, Mariska, Ryan, Denni, Moremu, Alice, Grace, Jack and Logan, and great-grandmother of nine. FERNANDO, Yvonne Elizabeth

On March 4, 2023, peacefully at Nazareth House, aged 68 years. Dearly loved wife of Dunstan, much loved mother and mother-in-law of Dunstan Jr and Rehana, Christopher and Rodesa, Christine and Cheyne, and Jonathan and Maria, a loving grandmother of Mikaela, Madelyne, Levi, Marcella, Matteo, Moses, Miriam, Jade, and River. Much loved by all her extended family and friends.

Born 16 December 1930, Armadale, Scotland. Son of Duncan & Wilhelmina (nee Boyd). Brother of William, Jessie, Bob, Mary, Mina & George (all dec). Husband of Gretta (dec) and cherished Dad of Evelyn & Myra. Loved poppa of Gassune, Zinedeen & Rosie. Last of his generation, Dad at 92 danced his last jig on 5 March 2023, he went out fighting. Plasterer by trade, passionate footballer and above all a perfectionist. All you asked of us was to do our best. We intend to continue to. You were determined, patient, kind and a proud Scotsman. Known affectionately by his siblings as an “aggravating wee laddie”. We love you now and always Dad, we will desperately miss that cheeky grin and those sparkly blue eyes.

Peacefully at home on Saturday, 4 March 2023 we lost a quintessential Kiwi bushman Neville, Nev, Weka, aged 75. Bloody good mate of Chris/Ru. Loved Dad of Ward & Courtney Gordon. Cherished Pa Weka of Baylee & Zeon, Hayden, Zarli and Zac. Treasured by all his Glennui family Netti, Matthew & Jacki, Jack, and Anna-Victoria Francis.
