After a full life and a short illness, loved and cherished partner of Sylvia, loved father and father-in-law of Steve (dec) and Wendy, Roy and Lynne, Dale and Paul Anderson, Greg and Jo, loved Granddad of Stevie-Dale, and David; Amber, and Courtney; Stephanie, and Chelsea; Josh, Dan, and Ben, step-dad of Catherine and Nick, and step-Grandad of Braden, and Mia, as well as all his great-grandchildren. Much loved mother of the late Catherine, Barry, Wendy, Robin and Helen. Loved grandmother of Joshua, Georgina and Chloe, and great-grandmother of three. GIBBS, Sylvia Yvonne
Sylvia passed away suddenly, but peacefully, surrounded by family at Tauranga Hospital, on March 10, 2023, aged 78 years. Dearly beloved wife of Steve for 57 years. Much loved Mum of Karen and Marc, Heather and Graeme. Proud Grandma of Matt, Luke, Maddie, and Liz; and loving Great-Grandma to Reuben. Loved sister of Daphne, and Auntie to Katie, Emily, Jessica, Neil, Debbie, Ali, and their families.

The family truly appreciate the care from the Christchurch Oncology department over the past 3 years. A celebration of Susanne’s life will be held at a private memorial service.
