CHICK, Susan Mary

Passed away peacefully on Saturday, 18th March 2023 at Radius Windsor Court Rest Home, aged 59 years. Loved daughter of the Late Julian & Viera. Much loved sister of Karen, Graeme, Regan, Murray, and Simon. Susan was loved by all her extended family. The family would like to thank Radius Windsor Court Dementia Unit staff for their care and love of Susan. A private family farewell has taken place, followed by a cremation. COLES, Barbara Jean (Jeanne)

Passed peacefully at Copper Crest, Tauranga, on Friday 17 March 2023. Beloved wife of the late Richie Coles. Cherished Mother of Josephine Fullerton-Coles, and mother-in-law of Mark. Loved Gammie of Nevan, Kade and Emerson. Sister of Jo Laderosa (Parma, USA). Dearly loved by the Coles family and all her nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Neurological Foundation of New Zealand. A service to celebrate Jeanne’s life will be held at Eagars Te Henui Chapel, 172 Lemon Street, New Plymouth on Wednesday 22 March 2023 at 2.00pm, followed by a private family cremation. Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday, March 18, 2023, aged 83 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Jim Marshall. Loved and respected mother and mother-in-law of David and the late Rei, Bruce and Hollie, Debbie and Paul, Donna and Brent, Jeff and Lisa, and loved step-mum of Murray and Donna, Russell and Ellen, and Kathy and Callum. Much loved Nana of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Loved sister and sister-in-law of Russell* and Helen, brother Jack, and the Marshall extended family. A farewell for Marie will be held on Friday, March 24, 2023, at 1.30pm in J Fraser and Sons Chapel, Corner Esk and Doon Streets, Invercargill. Of Arrowtown (formerly of Garston), on Saturday, March 18, 2023, aged 61. Dearly loved son of the late Herbert and late Trudy Cotton, brother and brother-in-law of Sue and Andrew (Wellington), and Nicky and Masato (Tokyo), and uncle of Kaito. A service in memory of Mark will be held in the Athol Hall on Friday 24 March at 1.30pm, with burial to follow at Garston Cemetery. Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, March 17, 2023, aged 83 years. A service to celebrate Vicki’s life will be held in St Peter’s Anglican Church, 2 Church Street, Queenstown, on Thursday, March 23, at 1.30pm, followed by interment at the Queenstown Cemetery. KERR, Clare Helen(nee Neighbours)

Passed away peacefully, in her 77th year, after a short illness, on Friday, March 17, 2023, surrounded by her loving family at Buller Hospital. Much loved wife of Denis, and a much loved Mum and mother-in-law of Julianne and Jesse, Denise, Lisa and Darren, and loved Nanny of Madison and Samara. A loved sister, sister-in-law, and Aunty to her nieces and nephews. In keeping with Clare’s wishes, a small private family burial will be held at Orowaiti Cemetery. Clare’s family invite you to join them for refreshments to celebrate Clare’s life at Club Buller, on Tuesday, March 21, at 3.00pm. HENRY, Josephine Beatrice (Josie)

Passed away at home with family present on Thursday, March 16, 2023. Loved wife of Elgar Henry; married for 73 years. Loved by her children Yatra, Glenys, Graeme and Pam. Leaving great memories for her grandchildren Dylan, Miro, Juanita, Hannah and her great-grandchildren Xanthe, Lillian, Margaux and Emilie. Dearly loved by her sister Margaret North and her brothers John, Colin, Keith and Murray Gray. Josie was well loved by many friends and contributed to the community. The family would like to acknowledge the wonderful support from Enliven carers, Dr Marilyn Griffith – Flagstaff Medical Centre, and St Johns Ambulance who all enabled her wish to die at home. Passed away peacefully at home in Palmerston North surrounded by her whanau on 18th March 2023. D.O.B 28 September 1958 aged 64 years. Devoted wife to Bruce Te Kura (Mickey Bush) admired mother to Phillena, Kaela, Bucky & Jess, Weeny & Leana, Dennis, Emma, Rowayne, Jason, Paora & Te Ara, Mare & Nela. Dearly loved and cherished by all her Mokos and Mokomokos. An adored Sister, Cousin, Aunty, Nan & Friend to many. Yulla will lie in state at Wai-O-Turi, Patea marae. Tangihanga held on 21st March at 11.00am, followed by the burial at Haerehau Urupa.

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, March 17, 2023. Devoted, treasured, and loved wife of Robert. Adored and loved Mum of Stephanie and Chris and soon to be nana to baby Penson, Marshall and Rose, Elliott, and Natalie. Loved daughter to the late Charlie and Annie Henderson, loved sister and sister-in-law of Arthur and Marilyn, Diane and Geoff, Stewart and Valmai, Sharon and John, Pam and Ewan. Loved daughter-in-law of Robert and Kathleen, sister and sister-in-law of Maree and Geoff Day. A loved auntie and friend to many. Lynley will be deeply missed. A service to celebrate Lynley’s life will be held on Wednesday, March 22, at the Gore Town and Country Club Stadium, Bury Street, Gore, at 11.30am, followed by a private cremation. MIDDLEMISS, John Alfred

Passed away peacefully after a long battle, on 15th March 2023, aged 90. Husband of the late Jenny, loved father and father-in-law of Peter and Jan, Gary, Roy, Jenene and Hamish, and adored grandfather of Nicholas. A celebration of John’s life will be held at The Woodside Estate, 132 Woodside Road, Tamahere, TOMORROW, Tuesday 21st March at 11.00am. A special thanks to the staff at Waikato Hospital and Ultimate Care Oakdale Retirement Home, Cambridge.

OGDEN, Joan Lyle

Born 2 February 1923
Joan died peacefully on Tuesday 28 February 2023 at Summerset Paraparaumu, aged 100. Joan embraced life to the fullest with great energy and a wicked sense of humour. Much loved mother of Lyle and James, and their spouses Dave and Clara. Grandmother to Sarah, Melanie and Rebekah, Robert, Paul, and Marco, and their spouses Nigel, Siona, Andrew, Carly, Natalie and Shamika. Great- grandmother to Harrison, Caleb, Nathaniel, Miles, Amos, Olivia, Theo, Jacob, Lily, James and Ryan. A very special thanks to the staff at Summerset Aotea and in recent years at Summerset Paraparaumu for their love and care of Joan. The family is very thankful that Joan was able to celebrate her 100th birthday at the end of January with her family. A Memorial Service for Joan will be held at the Whenua Tapu Chapel, Airlie Road, Pukerua Bay, on Saturday 25 March 2023 at 11.00am, followed by the burial of her ashes at the Whenua Tapu Cemetery.
