Passed away peacefully in Christchurch, on March 19, 2023, aged 96 years. Loved mother and mother-in-law of Paul and Rhonda; Catherine and Peter; and Helen and Martin. FOUNTAIN, Valerie Blanche (Val)

Passed away peacefully with Sue by her side at Christchurch Hospital, on Monday, March 20, 2023, aged 89 years. Beloved wife of the late Derek. Dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Chris and Janet, Sue and Pete (deceased), John and Mairead. Much loved grandma of Karen, Nicky, and Anna, and great-grandma of Joshua and Zoe. Many thanks to the staff at Bainswood on Victoria, Rangiora, and the staff on Ward A3 Christchurch Hospital for all their loving care of Val. MOORE, Peter John

DOB 2.7.54. With deep sadness we share the sudden passing of Pete, who passed over very peacefully and gracefully at home surrounded by loved ones on the evening of Monday, March 20. Pete will be sadly missed by his loving wife Anna, parents Doreen and the late Horace, and siblings along with children, Rory, Levi, Daniel and Dove, and grandchildren. A private gathering will be held on Saturday to honour and celebrate Pete.

Passed away after a long battle with loved ones by his side on March 20, 2023. Loved husband and best friend of Mary for 63 years. Much loved Dad of the late Vicki Ann, Trevor and Debbie Flannery. Will be very sadly missed.

Our beautiful Josie passed away with her loving family on Saturday, March 18, 2023, aged 86 years. Loved wife of the late Stan. Treasured mum of Lynette, Heather, and Sooty. Special aunty to her nieces and nephews, and much loved friend to many. Thank you to the team at Bethesda for their care, compassion and friendliness. Mum enjoyed her chats and getting to know the team. Josie holds a special place in our hearts. Her unconditional love, laughter, friendship and kindness touched us all and words can’t describe how much she will be missed.

Passed away peacefully at Resthaven, Gore. Loved husband of Denice, loved by his daughter Lucie Goudie (Melbourne, Australia) and his son Thomas Goudie (Byron Bay, Australia), and his grandchildren Kai, and Ronnie. Loved brother of Mary McKnight, and John Goudie (both of Scotland), loved brother-in-law of Lindsay McCallum (Tapanui), Hamish and Pam McCallum (Invercargill), Martin and Bronwyn Hawke (Katikati), and a much loved uncle of all his nieces and nephews.

After a short illness, Dieter passed away on March 17, 2023, at Christchurch Hospital surrounded by his loving family, aged 65 years.
