Born 12 January 1932. Passed peacefully on 21 March 2023, in the presence of her family. Beloved wife of the late Dr Thakshan Fernando. Loving mother and mother-in-law to Shanthi and Rohan, Rohitha and Lori, Nerupi and Ajit, Tushan and Chi. Treasured Archchi to Miles and Annarose, Sachin, Anouska and Joe. Cherished great-grandma of Arthur and Aamara. A memorial service will follow in April (to be advised). FROUDE, Helen
Deeply loved loved wife of Tony for 66 years. Loved and respected mother of Victoria (and partner Chris), son Mark and daughter-in-law Jasmine, and special grandma to Reuben and Dylan. Helen was a positive and shining spirit who never gave up and was loved by everyone who knew her. Helen passed away at Wellington Hospital on Saturday 25th March 2023. Thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Mapu Unit who gave much comfort to Helen in her final days with their genuine kindess and personal care.
