Dearly loved mother of Sue, Andrea, Andrew Dave and Lin, loved Inez of Brent, Stephen, Karen and James, and loved aunt of Averil. Loved Nanma and Granma of Rachel and Mike, Michael and Krystina, Jons and Erika, Hugo, Clare, Sophie, Florence, Maudie and Sylvie, and Great-Nanma of her 6 great-grandies. On Friday, April 28, 2023, peacefully at Nurse Maude Hospice, aged 63 years. Loving father to Evan and Katie, uncle to Roy, Paul, Shyan and Holly, loved brother to Dianna and Warren, husband and friend of Barbara. Will be sadly missed. Aged 43. Sadly passed away on 5th April 2023 in Turkey after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife Sarah and two daughters, Claudia and Elizabeth. The son of Margaret and Don Waylen of Whangamata and brother of Malcolm, Phillip, Derrick, Adrian and Gregory, and their families. He will be forever in our hearts. A memorial service will be held at St Patrick’s Church, Whangamata, on Saturday 13th May, at 11.30am. A celebration of his life will follow at the Whangamata RSA with light refreshments. Justin would appreciate casual dress code and in lieu of flowers a donation to Multiple Sclerosis NZ.
On April 24, 2023, peacefully at Nurse Maude Hospice, Merivale, with his wife Jenny at his side, aged 74 years. Dearly loved husband and best friend of Jenny, dearly loved dad and father-in-law of Paul and Aletia, and Robert, adored Poppa of Aria and Hazel, loved uncle of Angela, Kevin, and David; Graham, Glenn, John, and Ngaire. Loved son of the late Jack and Peggy, much loved brother of Brian, and Gail. Much loved nephew, cousin, and friend to all that knew him, Trevor was an avid aviation enthusiast and respected pilot known to many. A very special thanks to those who have provided support and friendship to Trevor during his long cancer journey. Special thanks to the Oncology team at Christchurch Hospital for their treatment and support of Trevor throughout his illness. Our heartfelt appreciation to the staff at the Nurse Maude Hospice for their care and support in his last days. Passed away suddenly on Thursday 27th April 2023, aged 59. Much loved husband of Michaela. Loved dad of Aimee. Loved son of Jill and the late Henning. Loved brother of Karen. Loved son-in-law of the late Dorothy Muir, and brother-in-law of Richard and Susan, and uncle of Caitlin.
