On 18th June 2023, peacefully at Lansdowne Park, Masterton. Aged 91 years. Much loved wife of the late Athol. Dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Robyn, Stephen and the late Lynn, Kevin (Deceased) and Thao. Joy will be missed and remembered by her grandchildren, nieces and nephews and her extended family in New Zealand and Australia. In accordance with Joy’s wishes a private family farewell and cremation have been held.

WALDRON, Barry Robert

On June 20, 2023, passed away peacefully at Nurse Maude Hospice after a long illness, in his 65th year. Loving partner of Gail, loved father of Dustin and Tyla, loved brother of Margaret, and Eileen. Barry is much loved and will be missed by everyone in the family, Haley, Tina, Kelly, Mark, Caleb, Jessica, Matthew, and Nicholas. Passed away peacefully on June 19, 2023 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Aged 85 years. Loved soulmate and best friend of Ngaire for 63 years. Cherished father and father-in-law of Barry and Kirstine, Grant and Stacey, Karen and Murray Godden, and Donna and Simon Manukonga. Adored Poppa of Blake, Sienna; Blair, Corey, Shane; Jessie, Alyce, Kyle; Holly, Briar, Max and Sam. Much loved great-granddad of Kaia, Karlos, Anaya, Samuel; Devyn, Kayden, Taylor, Cohen, Levi, Willow; and Lila. Friends are invited to a Memorial Service to celebrate Graeme’s life at the Founders Chapel of Remembrance, which he is the proud founder of, on Saturday, July 1, at 4.00pm.

Peacefully passed on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, surrounded by his family and in the loving care of the team at Highfield Rest Home. Loved husband of Darrell, much loved and devoted father of Kirsty, Kelly and Brad and loving granddad to Phoebe, Lincoln, and Molly. Loved brother and brother-in-law of the late Pat and Ron Latimer, Shirley and the late Dick Tily, the late Alan and Denise Evans, and their families. The family would like to thank and acknowledge the outstanding love and care shown to John by the whole team at Highfield and special thanks to wee Rachael. A service to farewell John will be held at Betts Funeral Services, 33 North Street, on Monday, June 26 at 1.00pm, followed by private burial. Flowers respectfully declined. Peacefully with family on June 22, 2023, aged 72 years and 364 days at Chatswood Retirement Village. Dearly loved husband of Judy, adored father of Lisa and Kelly, much loved father-in-law of Rob and Doug, brothers Wayne and Nigel and their partners Wendy and Sharon, and treasured granddad of Robbie, Grace, Metta and Hanna. Special thanks to the staff at Chatswood for their kindness and care for Rod. Sincere thanks also to Dr Mike Osselton for his ongoing and outstanding care and support. (Service No. 433672, RNZAF) Passed away peacefully on 21 June 2023, aged 99 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Emmy. Loved and devoted father of Peter, Lynley, Clare, Fay, Danny and their partners. Cherished Grandad of his 9 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Much loved and respected by all his extended family. A Requiem Mass for Brian will be celebrated at St Patrick’s Catholic Church, Alexander St, Te Awamutu, on Thursday 29 June at 11.00am, followed by burial in the RSA Lawn at Te Awamutu Cemetery. Our grateful thanks to the staff at Camellia House for their love and care of dad during his years there and to San Michele for their special care during his final days.

Our beloved Eleni has set off on her next adventure. Her beautiful smile and soul lives on in all of us. Following a private farewell on Friday we will celebrate her life formally in the coming weeks. We, Christopher, Rebecca and Larry will hold her forever in our hearts.
