Botanic owner Daniel Taiaroa says preparations are on a "knife-edge" to open on Friday (February 16).

His is one of 17 hospitality outlets in the first stage of Antony Gough's The Terrace. After several years, delays and funding hurdles, construction is due to finish this month – seven years on from the devastating February 22 earthquake.
