I have now found a new place and am moving over the next week. If there is anyone out there interested in earning some extra $ to help me move please get in touch via the phone number. Im moving out to to Oxford and anyone who has a 4wd and trailer would be particularly helpful.
Thanks to those who offered help and accomodation for the ducks.
*****end of update*******
I have just found out the rental property I have been paying rent to someone to for the last 9 months, (and have a tenancy agreement for) does not belong to the person I have been paying, but to the council.
I have been given 2 weeks to vacate and I have 40-50 ducks and a goose and desperately need somewhere that will take them.
If anyone can help please, please please, get in touch on 020 406 41485. In ChCh or North Canterbury.
Or if anyone knows if there is any way to appeal the council notice to give me some time to find somewhere to liveIm absolutely terrified of having no where to house my feather babies’
Not sure why the government have laws to prevent tenants being evicted on no notice if the local government can do that even though it’s got nothing to do with me that the landlord doesn’t own the land and I have been paying rent and have an agreement I signed in good faith.
I know I can take the landlord to court and probably will but right now I urgently need somewhere for me and my ducks who are like my children, to live.

A married person gets a pension of $817.32 a fortnight, before tax, compared with the $990.20 received by a person sharing with someone who is not their spouse or partner.
“I have a friend who isn't in a relationship, but she's sharing a house, and they share all the expenses, and she's going to end up getting $172.88 more than me a fortnight which is just plain wrong,” said Daphne, who did not want her last name used for privacy concerns.
The combined fortnightly payment for a couple is $1634.64.
The Ministry of Social Development said people in a relationship were more likely to share a wider range of costs and resources than a single person living with another adult.

That’s why Ryman villages plan ahead by offering independent living in apartments and townhouses, assisted living in serviced apartments, resthome care and, in most villages, hospital and specialist dementia care.
We offer a higher ratio of care in our villages so that if your needs change, you have priority access to our care centres.
