Good Evening neighbours!

Trix (Patricia) from Somerfield

Just wondering if anyone happens to have a stash of the brown paper bags you get from the supermarket, or similar sized paper bags lying around that you don’t use 😊. We have 2 x large cabbage trees and one way to get rid of the leaves is to burn them in our fire. We have 2 x large cabbage trees and one way to get rid of the leaves is to burn them in our fire. Only issue is that I am petrified of spiders and if we just tie them up in bundles and leave them until next winter (or the next time we need a fire), they are a perfect breeding ground for spiders 😬! I have looked on trademe etc but they are very expensive, turns out to be cheaper to purchase them from the supermarket! Thank you very much, I hope everyone has a lovely Christmas 😊

Nearly 6000 fines worth a total of $740,250 have been dished out for driving or parking in the city's bus lanes since the end of November last year, with just one bus lane responsible for well over half of that.

The stretch between Mona Vale and Deans Ave on Riccarton Rd, which opened in late 2018, has proven a major money-maker for the Christchurch City Council, netting the authority more than $560,000 in just 12 months. A total of 3828 fines were issued to drivers caught in the lane – an average of 319 a month.

Have you copped a bus lane fine before? What for, and where?

Kayaking

Roger from Sydenham

Can you do this any where on Christchurch rivers ?

Can anyone recommend the best places for beginners to start?

Some of the red zone I have notice has deep water.

Is the water safe or is it polluted?

There’s a church between Smith Street and Tilford Street and as a rate payer I am absolutely sick of these church goers parking over our driveways. We ring the council they come out and ticket the offending cars but this still doesn’t seem to stop these people. What else can be done. They even park on the 10 minute park outside the dairy so therefore the diary owners are missing out on business.
