Parts of Bellbrook Cres, Emmett St and Orcades St, in Shirley, are closed due to flooding. Flooding is also starting to cause issues on McFaddens Rd, Edgeware Rd, and Weston Rd.
Residents who are concerned by flooding in their area should contact the Council contact centre on 0800 800 169.
Drivers are being urged to take extra care on Christchurch and Banks Peninsula roads today as the heavy rain is likely to cause surface flooding and make roads slippery.

A good part of the support we need is creating communities that empower, develop our spirtitual growth, and contribute to others beyond our own selfish needs.
