World Creativity and Innovation Day provides people with an excuse to try to solve old problems in new ways, with the potential of finding better and more effective methods to accomplish our goals!
Several places have been set up in England where people can donate clothes to be sent to the people of Ukraine, and I wondered if anyone knew if we have such places in Christchurch. I have some lovely clothes that I would like to donate to them, and possibly some blankets and pillows.

KiwiRail is putting communities at risk by causing delays to work on cycleways across Christchurch, a city councillor warns.
The state-owned enterprise tasked with managing the country’s rail network is being blamed by the Christchurch City Council for delays on at least four cycleway projects – all of which were supposed to be fast-tracked thanks to Government shovel-ready funding.
The proposed cycleway routes either cross or run parallel to KiwiRail’s tracks, therefore design changes are needed to make it safer for cyclists.
However, the design work requires approval from KiwiRail, and in many cases these have not been forthcoming or KiwiRail and the council disagree about the level of work that is required. Read the full story here.

It has a metal frame, and is quite heavy to move but it's ready for collection just a few steps from a vehicle. Dimensions are approx 190x90cm, and the wire springs are 137x184cm. We usually put a mattress topper on it as the mattress it comes with is relatively thin.
