If you have a couple of hours a week or fortnight to spare, I'd love to hear from you! The proposed South Express cycleway, which links Templeton to Hagley Park, will turn sections of residential streets into culs-de-sac and also see about 65 trees replaced.
New traffic signals will be added at 11 intersections along the route.
The work is part of the council's $252m major cycleways programme that will see suburbs connected to the central city through 13 separate routes.

All New Zealand police officers will receive new stab- and bullet-proof vests in a $20 million roll-out over the next three-and-a-half years.
The current vests - which were introduced in 2006 - are stab-proof, but special vests are worn by any officers involved in firearms call-outs.
They have passed their warranty, but remain "safe and fit for purpose", says Police Commissioner Mike Bush.
