Motorists are asked to avoid Addington and detour through Curletts Road where possible. Further detours that avoid Whiteleigh Avenue will be in place. Tower Junction Mega Centre can be entered via Blenheim Road or via Princess Street. Horncastle Arena will be accessible from Wrights Road.

The director of Christchurch's only red zone pub is fed up with bureaucracy and wants certainty over his bar's future.
Allan Hargen wants permission to remain there permanently and has asked the city council to make it happen.
