Opposition to Liquor Licence on my patch!!!
On Monday 19/3 & Tuesday 20/3 the Hearing to oppose the building of a Liquorland store takes place @ 180 Smith St from 10am-5pm. A huge effort has gone in by the Phillipstown/Linwood community and others. We need as many citizens as possible to come to not only support us who will speak but indicate to the Applicant, and any others this license is not good for our community. Please attend when you can.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
