I'm on the lookout for old electric motors you might have lying about you want rid of. mainly single-phase, up to 1 horse-power would be ideal but I'll consider anything. I'm making my own workshop tools and the whole idea is to keep the costs down, otherwise I'd just go and buy them from Mitre10! I'm happy to do computer-repair work by way of trade, or pay for decent motors. Cheers, Dave.

Which theatre should council prioritise for the new Art Precinct? The Court Theatre or the new Andromeda theatre? Which do you want to see first?
Shannon Beynon Reporter from Christchurch Mail
There's a battle royal brewing between the Court Theatre and Michael Bell's Andromeda for space in the central city - the council can only afford to build one at a time, so who should get preference? Old faithful or something new and different? Thoughts?

Hey. I need a person who is able to dismantle our spring free tramp so the net and mat can be repaired, then reassemble it. Happy to pay.

Update: I have been in communication with Neil Baker, Headmaster Northcote School who has been very helpful and given me more food for thought to reduce speeding in the area to protect our children/parents of Northcote School. I would like further feed back before our presentation so I can give all and truthful fact to the CCC/Papanui Ward. So many thanks to those of you who have contacted me. Any parents of Northcote School and Neighbourly members are welcome to join me at the meeting... date, time, place mentioned below. Please note the extra options in voting.
I am attending the meeting on Friday August 11 at 9am Papanui Service Centre to submit this proposal. Are there any parents of Northcote Primary School or neighbourly members wishing to attend to support the above proposal. I have emailed the School headmaster as well. Please send me a private message if you wish to join me.
Previous:
I recently wrote to the Papanui Ward/Christchurch City Council requesting they consider putting in one more Judder Bar on Farnswood Place entrance off Tuckers Road because of the very near misses we have had on this corner on several occasions caused by speeding cars. (Copy attached).
I was advised by the Board this subject would be on their agenda for their meeting of 30 June 2017. I have now received a reply from The Christchurch City Council stating the request has been declined. (Copy also attached). I have replied back to the Christchurch City Council by email (copy attached)
if you are a resident of Tuckers Road, Farnswood Place, Scarlet Lane, Thornwood Place or Thicket Close, or who have children attending Northcote Primary School, could be please indicate your preference so we can take this back to the Christchurch City Council Many thanks for taking the time to read this. Let's protect our children.
