When technology suddenly feels confusing
You’re not alone if your computer, phone, TV or Wi-Fi doesn’t behave the way it used to. Technology changes often, and it isn’t always explained very well.
A few simple things that genuinely help:
• Computers: use Restart, rather than just turning them off
• Phones and tablets: hold the power button and choose Restart
• TVs and Wi-Fi boxes: turn them off at the wall for 30 seconds, then back on
• If something suddenly looks or works differently, it may have updated and nothing is broken
• It’s okay to take notes or write things down
This isn’t your fault. Technology often changes without telling you.
If you’ve tried the basics and it’s still not right, that’s okay too.

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
